It has certainly been an interesting holiday season. It all started back on the 12th of November when I was sitting at my desk and called and talked to my parents. My dad and I had made some arrangements to get together and clean out a load of computer hardware that I had in a large storage bin. We had already postponed the meeting for a couple of weeks due to a scheduling conflict and as I talked to my mother, she informed me that dad was not feeling well.

After a few minutes she gave the phone up to him and we talked for a while. Dad said that he had been constipated and thinks he had taken to much Epsom salt and had gas. Well, I informed him that he didn't need to take any more baking soda and water or any other gas medicine and if he was not feeling well tomorrow, he should go and have a doctor check it out.

You see in recent years there had been a new found closeness that my Dad and I shared which was in part due to the trials and tribulations that I had been having in my marriage and just general age and maturing. Dad was a pretty tough cookie and growing up as a child, there were a lot of expectation put upon my shoulders. My dad was a no-nonsense kind of guy with very little tolerance for what we call human stupidity.

As I have also grown older, I have found that most of the traits that my Father possesses that I would not regurgitate, I have acquired because they make logical sense. As I grew older and more disciplined, he became more compassionate and warmer. He still did not tolerate the human condition but looking at the days and times of the world ... Rightfully so!

Then came tomorrow....

It was about 2:00pm EST and as I was hurriedly trying to get off the phone with one of my peers that so had the human condition, I received a phone call from my sister who informed me that dad was in the hospital in surgery. Not in the hospital in our home town, but right around the corner from my office. Dad had been in the hospital before but without thinking, my body just knew something was different this time.

And thus began my holiday season!

Finally after many agonizing months, I have decided to create my own BLOG. Due to certain recent events in my life, I have decided to share with the world a few things about myself and the many daily thoughts that race through my mind.

There are things that I will also share through an alternate personality that will be intended for a different audience, and for certain reasons, I do not wish to have associated with each other.

I look forward to using this medium as a means of expression, information and education for some and as a means of release for me!

I hope that you enjoy the things that I have to say and that life becomes a bowl full of cherries for each and every one of you!

Sincerely,
Magnanimous Computron
